Description of the job
The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring assigned inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the analytics to investigative capabilities, in support of continuously improving inventory accuracy and transaction compliance controls.
- Maintain inventory integrity of the ERP system. Some of the key focus points are: monitor Production Reporting, Scrap Reporting, and receiving in the system accurately, etc. The health of the system and general upkeep is a crucial focus area to avoid the impact of a "stock out" condition.
- The person will be responsible for creating inventory KPI's to monitor improvement for accuracy and stock aging reports.
- Evaluate results, investigate discrepancies, and install systemic solutions in conjunction with warehouse operations.
- Add value by reducing inventory and operational related costs, with the full scope of warehouse activities.
- Advance and oversee internal processes for materials rejection and returns, ensuring efficient disposition.
- Verify and ensure availability of materials required to meet production schedules daily, by proactively analyzing inventory position, lot expiration, quality status, and materials movements.
- Correct and follow-up with any inventory discrepancies in these areas.
- Maintain ERP system accuracy above 98% for Finished Goods, WIP, Component and Raw.
- Will require tracking of inventory targets and driving improvements across departments.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 5+ years' experience in materials and inventory management.
- Complete in-depth knowledge of supply chain strategies, including total delivery cost, profitability, inventory turns and service levels.
